Who we are

PocketWork (“we”, “us”) operates the PocketWork controlled live pilot at pocketwork.co.uk, connecting hospitality candidates with venues. For privacy questions or data requests, contact privacy@pocketwork.co.uk.

What personal data we collect

Candidates: name, email, location, short bio, role tags, years of hospitality experience, availability, PocketWork Academy progress, PocketScore, applications and shift bookings.

Venues and venue contacts: contact name, email, venue name, address, city, service style, team size, shifts you post and decisions on applicants.

Shifts and applications: shift details (role, location, times, hourly rate, brief), application messages, application status, match score and match reasons computed at submission.

Academy progress: modules viewed, modules completed and timestamps.

Event and tracking data: high-level product events (page views, journey selected, CTA clicked, application submitted, etc.), associated to your account when signed in or anonymous before signup, plus device/browser context required to deliver the service.

Why we use it and lawful bases

  • Contract: to provide the PocketWork pilot, run matching, deliver shift opportunities and process applications.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate the service safely, measure product funnel health and improve the experience.
  • Consent: for optional marketing/pilot updates and any non-essential tracking; you can withdraw at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

Who we may share data with

We share the minimum personal data needed to deliver the pilot:

  • Venues see candidate-side data needed to make booking decisions (name, location, role tags, PocketScore, Academy progress and application message).
  • Candidates see venue-side data needed to apply (venue name, location, shift details).
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers (database, auth, hosting and email providers) process data on our behalf under written contracts.

We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We retain personal data for the duration of the controlled live pilot and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes, complaints and legal obligations. Event/tracking data is kept for product analytics for up to 24 months. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email privacy@pocketwork.co.uk. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we make material changes we will update the version date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email.
