PocketWork
Terms of Use
Version 2026-06-01
Controlled live pilot
PocketWork is currently operating as a controlled live pilot. Features, content and availability may change, and access may be limited or revoked at our discretion as we refine the product.
Candidate responsibilities
- Provide accurate information in your PocketProfile, including identity, experience and availability.
- Only apply for shifts you are legally entitled and reasonably able to fulfil.
- Attend booked shifts on time, follow the venue's lawful instructions and treat staff and customers respectfully.
- Notify the venue and PocketWork promptly if you can no longer attend a booked shift.
Venue responsibilities
- Post accurate shift information (role, hours, location, rate and brief) and only book candidates for work you are legally entitled to offer.
- Provide a safe working environment that complies with applicable employment, health and safety law.
- Pay accepted candidates accurately and on time for shifts worked.
- Review applicants fairly, without unlawful discrimination.
No guarantee of work or availability
PocketWork does not guarantee any candidate that they will receive shift offers, nor any venue that they will receive suitable applicants. The platform facilitates introductions; it does not promise outcomes.
Learning is not certification
PocketWork Academy content supports shift readiness only. It is not a formal qualification, certification or accreditation, and does not replace venue-specific training or any legally required certification (for example, food safety or personal licences).
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including but not limited to: impersonating another person, posting misleading shifts or profiles, scraping or copying other users' data, attempting to bypass security, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Account suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, behave in a way that endangers other users, or create legal or reputational risk for PocketWork.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketWork is not liable for losses arising from the conduct of candidates or venues, missed or cancelled shifts, payment disputes between candidates and venues, or indirect, special or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
